Weekend Challenge: Be Pro-active Not Reactive

Weekend Challenge: Be Pro-active Not Reactive

Sometimes we fall into the habit of waiting for the negative behaviors of our children to show up and really hang around before we change certain situations.

For instance, have you ever asked your child to come along on a boring errand, you have no distractions on hand, your child gets bored, maybe starts whining, you get frustrated and even end up yelling at them?

This weekend,  why not try to address potential needs ahead of time? Make things fun,  adventurous, set limits clearly, use play and games: Be pro-active, not reactive!

Try to focus on how you can make things work well from the start – not on how to make the unwantted situation go away.

Peace & Be Well,
