Sharing Sundays #2

Happy Sunday! In the second round of Sharing Sunday – here are a few articles and posts I came across in the past week that I really enjoyed:

Love
From Parenting from scratch: Children need encouragement, a lot of it, not to be confused with praise…Here is a great list of encouragement phrases to use with children daily.

In the Daily Herald, Ken Potts shares why “There is never a good reason to hit a child.” Although I don’t agree with everything he says, I feel he can reach a really broad audience with his take on this.  I do agree with “All of us as responsible parents need to put this knowledge to use.”

Laughter
This account from Critters & Crayons made me laugh so much, a great illustration that we cannot control our children, just circumstances and sometimes ” When you’re stuck in a line with packages the size of your body […] it is party time, people.  It is party time. You should just start apologizing to folks as you walk through the door.” Read more…

Life
From the Leaky Boob – something I would love to see become a reality – no more need to write about Breastfeeding in Public because it should just be normal and not an issue of decency or appropriateness.
